Decatur Plastic Products, Inc. is an IATF 16949 Quality Standard company that specializes in injection molding, fiber flock coating, assembly work, and tool building. We service most large automotive OEMs, and the majority of our products are plastic automotive parts, both interior, and exterior, with a variety of consumer goods. Our company's guiding beliefs, vision, and leader's behavior values, coupled with our performance and dedication to our customers is what sets us apart. Injection Molding 

Our injection molding capabilities range from 55 ton to 1574 ton, With over 36 injection molding machines and several resin varieties. We can produce product from various resins such as, but not limited to, Polypropylene, ABS, Acetal, PBC, Nylon, and PC/ABS. Additionally, we are capable of producing with glass, talc, and mineral additives as well. DPP makes a variety of principal products including pillars, consoles, glove boxes, door panels, arm rests, cluster bezels, pull cups, gun cases, craft boxes and more. Inside our 75,000 square foot Molding Facility, we custom build our own End-of-Arm tooling for our press robots that can be equipped with short shot sensors and degating techniques.

Flocking

Decatur Plastic Products, Inc. utilizes state of the art flocking capabilities that incorporate diverse technology that give us the advantage to deliver superior results, and reach maximum productivity. We are equipped with six flock ovens, and two programmable flock robots, that allow us to fiber coat most parts with sizes under a 3-foot square. We specialize in fully assembled products such as glove boxes and reinforcement consoles. We offer other various flocked products such as jewelry trays, coin trays, consoles, art work, and custom carrying cases. Within our 15,000 square foot Flocking Facility, we are a leader in flocking innovation and engineering while exceeding the highest quality standards in Automotive, Sound & Noise Control, and luxury products.

Tool Builds

Decatur Plastic Products Inc. is proudly partnered with Ningbo Global Sourcing (NGS) LLC., a full-service supply chain, design, development and manufacturing supplier. NGS is and Asia-Based supplier that specializes in supply systems to technically demanding customers. NGS takes full responsibility for the systems and components it sources and manufactures. Ningbo has built custom tools, gauges and fixtures for several DPP programs. Aside from Ningbo, DPP has an in house tool shop for minor repairs. There are also five direct tools shops within a fifteen mile radius, with whom we have developed strategic relations. ​

Warehouse and Assembly

DPP is a capable and IATF qualified supplier of light assembly processes. Our assembly capabilities range from various clip, screw, foam, and tape applications, to sonic welding, pad printing, heat staking, and fabric wrapping. We offer high level assemblies such as custom designed Poka-Yoke and Vision Systems to ensure adherence, compliance, and tolerance standards.
