TITLE: Mold Setter
DEPARTMENT: Molding
I. POSITION IN ORGANIZATION
A. Reports to: Senior Process Engineer
B. Directly supervises: N/A
C. Indirectly supervises: N/A
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Set sample and production molds in the injection press as scheduled.
B. Set up the appropriate auxiliary equipment for mold.
C. Inspect mold before removing from press and apply the appropriate mold protection. Report any noticeable damage to PM Mold Tech.
D. Assist PM Mold Tech in affixing DPP mold numbers to molds received by DPP for production.
E. Complete Mold Setters Check List and any other documentation as instructed.
F. Effectively communicate with molding department personnel.
G. Follow all safety rules and keep mold storage and work area clean.
H. Must be physically fit, not mind climbing
I. Need general knowledge of injection molding, robots and auxiliary equipment
J. Must be self-motivated to perform the task at hand in a timely fashion
K. Must be able to operate overhead crane and be certified to do so
L. Must be able to work in confined areas without any problems
M. Must possess good driving skills to maneuver forklift inside the facility
III. RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: All areas of the plant.
External: Will be exposed to current and prospective customers, which includes buyers, engineers, and quality personnel.
IV. EDUCATION
Requires the ability to follow specific detailed written or verbal instructions. May be required to perform simple mathematic calculations. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
V. EXPERIENCE
Over three months and including one year manufacturing experience preferred.

A. Fork lift driving.
B. Mechanical abilities
C. Good communication abilities.
D. Able to perform simple mathematic calculations.
E. Crane Certified
